Vidaia
Integral Ecology Consultancy
Context
The ecological crisis we face as humanity demands an urgent change in our development model. For decades, we have relied on a system based on the extraction of non-renewable resources and unbridled consumerism, with devastating consequences for our ecosystems, biodiversity and climate.
In response, Vidaia proposes a new paradigm, to together make the ecological transition to a regenerative development model that puts nature, society and the individual in balance.
We believe that change starts at the local level, so we work on pilot projects that address environmental, social and economic challenges with practical, creative and sustainable solutions.
We realize that many of us aspire to a better future and are willing to adopt eco-responsible approaches. That's why we offer an adaptable and customized collaboration model that empowers local initiatives with global impact.

The Wheel of Peace (Pierre Weil)
History
Hi, I'm Maia, founder of Vidaia. My name means “giver of life”, and I believe that we all come into this world with a mission to fulfill. My commitment is to protect and nurture life through ecology in collaboration with allies who share this vision, and my answer to this calling is Vidaia.
The inspiration to create this consultancy came from the extraordinary legacy of Pierre Weil (1924 - 2008), a psychologist, writer and educator committed to World Peace. In 1986, he founded in Brazil the City of Peace Foundation and, with Jean-Yves Leloup, the International Holistic University of Brasilia (UNIPAZ), of which he was director. In 2000, Weil received an honorable mention for the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. His educational approach was based on an understanding of the problems that keep human beings at war in order to find solutions that allow us to take the road to peace. Faced with this civilization crisis that threatens life, his strategy was to create circular schemes “Mandalas”, through which we can visualize and have a complete perspective of the deep dynamics of conflict and peace to understand their causes and solutions. The Mandala that represents war is “The Wheel of Destruction” and the Mandala that represents Peace is “The Wheel of Peace” (shown in the attached image).
Inspired by this learning, I adapted the Mandalas to current environmental issues, making them the heart of Vidaia. From there was born a new model based on integral ecology, which embraces all the essential aspects to transform complex challenges of destruction of our Mother Earth into regenerative projects with positive impact.
Mission
Our mission is to transform and strengthen existing projects, rather than create new ones, so that they can evolve and express their maximum potential for positive net value to their environment.
We seek short, medium and long term solutions that manifest self-sufficient and resilient initiatives.
In this way, we co-create a new model of circular economy that actively contributes to the well-being of the ecosystem, biodiversity and the planet's climate.
Vision
Our vision is to become a national and international reference for systemic change, inspiring initiatives to transform themselves into ecological, self-sufficient and regenerative projects. We aspire to develop an adaptable pilot model that, in symbiosis with nature, society and individuals, embodies the principles of integral ecology and aligns with local needs.
We want to be a tangible example of transition to a regenerative and sustainable model, demonstrating that it is possible to adopt best practices that generate a lasting positive impact. Through clear strategies and concrete solutions, we seek to transform the current socioeconomic and environmental model, catalyzing a profound change in our relationship with the planet and with each other.
We dream of being part of a global paradigm shift, promoting the participation of people and alternative initiatives with the potential to achieve self-sufficiency and become, in turn, functional examples that inspire others.
Ultimately, we seek to inspire communities and organizations to adopt regenerative and self-sufficient practices, promoting a new social, economic and ecological model that respects and enhances life in all its forms.
Objectives
Vidaia's main objective is to promote the development of projects that seek to evolve towards regenerative models, applying a holistic approach that strengthens their integration into the circular, local and sustainable economic movement. In addition, we explore new ways of generating abundance through initiatives such as exchanges and the gift economy.
Our specific objectives are:
